I would like to thank our fans for their support all this time, but especially for the way they handled everything the last few days. It is very easy to start criticising the team when things do not go as planned, but this has never happened. The fans have been behind the team and kept us going. Today was just another confirmation of their love for the club. They were simply fantastic, before, during and after the game.

I would also like to thank our manager who has supported the players from the very first moment. I was impressed by the way he handled the whole Spain-incident situation.

I hope that within the week the situation will be clarified and that it will have a good ending. It will also give me and the rest of my team mates a chance to present our view of the incident freely. Until then, we will have to be patient, keep our heads down and continue working hard. The win against Birmingham would have real value only if we manage to stay in the Premier League!
