Two wins in the past week, Charlton would be a good time to make it three?
Yes we're all very much looking forward to it. The last two wins have been good for us but we must aim to maintain our consistency and produce another good performance if we're to make it three in a row. The three points are very important for us on Saturday to keep our position near the top of the league.
What's your view on the London jinx?
I think it's just a coincidence. When we're playing in London we don't think about the jinx, as soon as the game starts it is like any other game for Newcastle United and we're all doing our utmost to win it. The London thing doesn't come into it.
It's difficult to win in London in any case, with teams like Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea to play but that said, it's about time we put an end to it once and for all.
We're currently fourth in the Premiership, how do you see the season panning out?
Our ambition this season is to do well in the cup competitions and to finish in the top six, and as high as possible in that six so we can build on that in future seasons. We have plenty of talent at the Club, both at present and coming through at the younger age level, so there is plenty to be optimistic about.
The back four is pretty settled at the moment, is that an advantage?
Definitely, it's good playing with the same people week in week out, as you know what to expect. I don't think rotating the defensive positions is a good idea as we need to keep our stability. A steady back line is vital if we're to do well this season.
And your thoughts on the Worthington Cup Draw?
Obviously we would have preferred a home draw but to win the Cup you have to beat the best teams at some point in the competition. We have the ability to go to Chelsea and win a one off game so there's nothing for us to fear.
Finally, Greece, after the World Cup qualifiers where do you stand?
We finished the campaign well against England and so now we're aiming to build on that to prepare for the forthcoming European Championship Qualifying matches. We only have a series of friendly matches for the remainder of this season but we have a new German Coach in charge of the team and we're all looking to do well for him.
From a personal point of view I am looking forward to hopefully winning my 50th cap for my country (he currently has 49) and my priority (he laughed) is to score my first goal for Greece!
