Biography
When Nikos was
young he had no intention of becoming a football player, more so a famous footballer
in a foreign country. He helped in his father's work and had every intention
of go into the family business. The budding businessman was attending courses
that would help him in his future career, until he started playing for a local
team as a hobby. The sport won him and he went on becoming one of the most valuable
players in Greece. Still he has managed to combine his business studies and
his love for football, by creating a five-a-side near his birthplace.
Nikos is a very
approachable person, adaptable and very friendly. He is so happy in the city
of Newcastle as his is playing for the Toons. He enjoys being out and about
in the town, and although the lifestyle here is as different from Greece, as
the weather, he has adapted extremely well.
However, he still
keeps many of his Greek habits. You can often find him out in the town on his
own or with his friends, enjoying himself in one of the many city centre cafes.
He is always chatting and laughing and he always finds time to answer questions
and sign autographs. He spends his free time reading the Greek and English press,
watching football and films on TV, as well as playing games on his computer
and being on the Internet.
