It was very important for me to play in last night’s reserve game. This was my first full game after a long time. As a matter of fact I hadn’t played 90 minutes for about 3 months. My last game was with an international friendly game against Sweden. I only played 10 minutes. As such the game against Wolves was my first real test for this season. I think I did well under the circumstances. I actually had a couple of chances to score but I was a bit unlucky. More importantly I was very happy to see that I had no problems with my injury.
Now that I am fully back on track I look forward to playing as many games as possible, either with the first team or the reserves. I would like to remain as sharp as possible so I am called up to help I will be ready to do so. It’s not easy when you may get limited chances to play first team football but I will be working hard as always for a place in the starting eleven.
As far as my future in the team is concerned I have not got much to say really. I wish this whole issue would have been resolved for good, but I have learned to make the best out of any situation. For the time being I would like to concentrate on my football and consider my options when the right time comes.
