Before the game I was told that Blackburn had not manage to beat United at St James Park more than 40 years. However I had said at dabizas.com that it would not be easy to win the 3 points. During the match I was very nervous as I was watching my team losing and I wanted to get out there and help. Bobby Robson had told me during the week that he intended to keep me out of action this weekend in order to rest for the game against Arsenal. When he finally made his mind to keep me on the bench I replied that although I felt great I did not have any problem with his decision and that I respected it. At the end of the day he is the one who decides how the team plays.

However I am a great believer of the opinion when the same defenders play together for a long time then they form a better defending line game by game. Liverpool is a great example, as their defenders have been playing together for more than two years. Anyway the important thing is that we got the three points with all our players performing very well and I have to congratulate them for that!

Now we have one of the most difficult games of the season. We share the same league position with Arsenal and they are as desperate as we are for the points. Of course the have the home advantage, but as always we will do our best.
