| Newcastle was through to the next Worthington Cup round after winning Barnsley, with Craig Bellamy scoring the winning goal. Nikos did not play as Bobby Robson decided he needed to rest after the Saturday's game against England. Off course he was very happy to see the team win the game and commented: "We ought to win and that's what we did. We have all the potential to achieve something good in both the Worthington Cup and the FA Cup and with Liverpool out of the WC and with Manchester and Arsenal facing each other our chances are quite good!" We would like to remind you that the Worthington Cup draw will take place on Saturday 13th October at 12.30pm.
As far as the game against Bolton is concerned Nikos said: "It does not matter if it is an away game, no game is easy any way, but it is one of these games we have to win. We need the 3 points, if we really want to fulfil our goals for this season and after losing our last game this one can bring us closer to the top of table."
